 PLANNING AN INDIVIDUAL LESSON OR A SEQUENCE OF LESSONS


When we start planning we have to take into account the aims that students must achieve and how to achienve them. Also, the teachniques that the teachers are going to apply to help students in their learning proccess. Furthermore, the materials, tasks and activities we select are the ones that will help a particular group of learners to achieve the aim we have identified.

Planning an Individual Lesson 


We ask ourselves a number of questions:

  • Topic
  • Motivation
  • Outcomes
  • Activities
  • Materials
  • Procedures
  • Time

Planning a sequence of lessons:

  • Scheme of a work: logical
  • Coursebook: appropriate
  • Variety: activities

Tips for Planning a Lesson

  • A scheme of work is good way to make sure that we recycle language
  • Coursebook may be a useful way of linking toguether a sequence
